Building the product with Claude and a student engineer, with a focus on simplicity of use and good user experience

I wanted to ensure the platform built was scalable with healthy code and components. I hired and worked with a second-year computing science student alongside primarily using Claude to build the platform.

I handed off Figma-created screens with annotations to my dev ensuring clarity for her when she coded.

Additionally, I built a component library of re-usable UI primitives to ensure consistent, scalable building from my fellow coder and AI agnents. 

My own specific prompt engineering focused on engineering clear plans and AI-built outcomes allowed me to optimise agents to achieve the builds I wanted at a lower cost.

I ran through rounds of iterations of certain features, using AI to quickly prototype, focused on removing friction for the user whilst still ensuring the complexity of features necessary to support holistic user experiences and edge cases within the product were implemented and easy to find.
